WELCOME TO DAY 7

Welcome to the Day 7 Blog.  Today I invite you to view the TWO (2) videos below.  In the videos I model how to read/analyze coded miscues.  After viewing the two (2) videos I also invite you to practice reading coded miscues.  I have provided a coded miscue sample that you can find on D2L under content.   Take some time to analyze the coded miscues and share your answers, process, struggles and celebrations with the people in your small group.  At the very bottom of this blog you will also notice that I have included a power point revisiting how to conduct a miscue.  This is the same information that you can find in your Assignments Guidelines Packet, but in a different format.

Before you begin let's get our brains ready to think about reading and analyzing miscues. Take a peek at the short video below of a child reading the newspaper.  My hope is that it will bring a smile to your face and a transition from thinking about your busy day to the work that we will take up together.

Enjoy!

  2. So Cute! If as if she is saying, "If I get that kind of response, I will keep doing it." That shows the power of positive feedback.
